Sukkot is one of the three major festivals on the Jewish calendar (Passover and Shavuot ae the other two). Sukkot falls exactly two weeks after Rosh Hashanah, and the preparations for it begin immediately after Yom Kippur. It’s a colorful holiday, rich with ceremony, commemorating the journey of the children of Israel through the desert after the Exodus from Egypt
