Thank you, Betty Shiffman and Patti Glasner, for helping me staff the Membership Renewal Drive By events.  Between in person renewals and renewals via the website, we are halfway to our membership goal.  That means there are many of you who have not yet renewed.  Please do so as soon as possible.  We need you, we count on, and we enjoy your company.  In addition to all of that, it’s a mitzvah, how can you go wrong?

Memberships expired on August 31st.  To do your renewal you can either go to the website: www.lakechapalajewishcongregation.com, scroll down the home page and click on the Membership Dues button.  This will allow you to complete the membership form and pay your dues via credit card on a secure link. The alternative is to contact me at hayden365@yahoo.com or my MX cell at 52 33 2607 0565.  We can arrange to meet so you can pay me directly.  I can accept credit cards, cash in pesos or checks in pesos.  Our bank no longer accepts USD cash or checks.  I can also provide you the banking information if you choose to do a direct transfer to our bank.   If you need reduced dues, please contact me.  We are sincerely happy to make accommodations as needed.

Assuming dues renewals meet our goals, the synagogue is doing fine financially.  We continue to have expenses for salaries, cleaning and maintenance, tax filing services, utilities, and the like.  It is your desire to support our synagogue that allows all of us to enjoy a special place, worship together, celebrate holidays and do fun activities together.  The board is working extra hard to make sure activities and services are available on-line during this pandemic.  We are all looking forward to the return of normalcy, whenever that is.

Please renew your dues so we can look forward to a long future of our Jewish religious and cultural activities.
